Description

Hello, we installed the following plugin last week: https://wordpress.org/plugins/accelerated-mobile-pages/

Usually, we take a backup once every week. However, this week when we took a backup from cPanel and downloaded it, we encountered an issue. The downloaded zip file was flagged as containing a virus by the Windows scanner, which led to its automatic deletion. We attempted this process three times, but the same issue persisted.

We collaborated with our IT team to investigate the problem further. They manually removed each plugin to determine if any of them were causing the issue. Eventually, we discovered that the "AMP for WP – Accelerated Mobile Pages" plugin was the source of the virus. After removing this plugin, we were able to download the zip file without any problems.

Could you please check the mentioned plugin for any viruses?

@pcls Please report this to the author of the plugin in question. It's possible that your site was compromised rather than the virus existing in the plugin, so I recommend following the advice in this help article: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/faq-my-site-was-hacked/

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
