Description
Changed the order to:
Howdy, Name! | Forums | Help | Log Out
I've seen that this was wanted in wp-hackers.

I'm also up for removing forums and help since they are on the bottom as others have suggested.

I'm not for removing anything in 2.5 (I trust Matt) but order is free of the taking.

The forums link in the footer goes to a specific forum, not the forums root. It's also worth bearing in mind that the codex and forums links aren't there for us, but for all the people who use WordPress but aren't aware of those resources.
That being said, I support the motion to move the log out link to the right. It's more intuitive and easier to locate.

A more compelling argument would be made if you provide examples from popular sites and software. Our a foundation in design.
Trac here uses the same style of layout that WP trunk r7271 (2.5-beta1) current does.
Gmail and other Google properties have the logout far right.
Facebook does not -- maybe. The difference here is that all of the facebook links are in the context of your account, whereas the other WordPress links are to help, etc.
30boxes has [username] | Settings | Logout | Help
which I suspect is a similar approach as ours.
Still, I +1 this change. The corners of a screen have high mouse accessibility, and should be reserved for the (in theory) highest frequency action (of a person with intermediate experience with the software).
