Description

Hi there,

I was looking at how I could enable or disable the ability to view the dashboard for specific user roles, but apparently there is no read dashboard capability that can be removed to not show the dashboard to the user...

This probably has to do with the fact that the dashboard is the first page the user gets to when going to the administration panel...

I would like to see an option added to wordpress where there is a read_dashboard capability, and perhaps some sort of functionality to specify which is the default page for a user that has read_dashboard disabled. Perhaps it could fall back to the first page in the menu on the left? Or perhaps fall back to the wordpress release update page?
