Description

Lightbox doesn't work on images after updating WordPress from 6.4.4 to 6.5.2. I am using the 2024 theme v1.1.

I have tried disabling all plugins! Still doesn't work. Only after a rollback to 6.4.4 does the lightbox effect work.

Please help. I have upgraded back to 6.5.2 to allow you to see the problem.

@barneysculptmonkey In the staging site looks like there was a cache issue in your site.

Thank you for that information. I use W3 Total Cache and I have cleared the cache several times. It doesn't work. My only solution to get this to work was to roll back to 6.4.4 on my live site. Can you share some steps to resolve that?

Thank you for your time!

  • Resolution set to invalid

@barneysculptmonkey I tried replicating the issue using WordPress 6.5.3, no other plugins enabled, and using twenty twenty four, but the lightbox seems to be working as expected. See this:- https://share.zight.com/bLubmvWE

To test if it's really the cache that's causing the issue, temporarily disable all of your plugins, including W3 Total Cache.

Please also try to re-enable the "expand on click" feature in the style settings. Watch: https://share.zight.com/Wnu8N5RY

::UPDATE::
Deleting W3 Total Cache resolved the issue. I'll now have to hunt for alternatives. Thank you so much!!
