404s related to caching

Hi there

www.onegreattorrington.uk (34sp.com WordPress hosting) is seeing a frequent occurrence of 404s when trying to view categories and listings as part of the MyListing theme. All caching has been turned off within the theme, and Redirection plugins are disabled - still seeing 404s frequently (but not daily). However, several times a week the site's pages related to listings are seeing 404 not found errors.

34sp.com support guys have found a work around in the sense that Permalinks can be updated/changed in a very subtle way - and changed back again (to revert the change) - which restores the visibility of the listings (and stopping the 404s). 34sp.com are suggesting adding a cron to automatically step through a change to permalinks and revert, to save me manually having to do this, and reducing downtime (as listings constitute advertising based on search engine crawling). I understand that 34sp.com support guys have seen this before on occasion as they were quick to suggest this work around.
