Cannot submit anything with WPforms and AJAX is acting up

We are using Debian 12 with PHP8.1.29 and mariadb 1:10.11.6-0+deb12u1.

I manage a few sites and the recently set up sites work fine but the older sites that been upgraded to 6.5.5 are not functioning when we use the submit button on pages made with WPforms. There is issues with AJAX submission.

I found a work around by restoring the site from an old back up then updating it again to latest version.
