Description

I used the Twenty Twenty Four theme on my website but every time I update to the latest version of wordpress or bluehost I encounter a slew of problems. My website guy tells me it's because this theme needs to be updated to address the bugs with it. If it's relevant you can visit my website at www.steadfastcontent.com. This Twenty Twenty Four template is not compatible with the latest version of WordPress 6.6 as it will cause the php mailing service to stop working. It is also not compatible with the latest version of bluehost. When I update these things, I encounter problems with buttons on the phone view of my website not working (menu button), it also takes the rounding of the images on my landing page away and makes them circles, I no longer receive new order emails either. I have put a lot of work into building my website and don't want to start over with a new theme but my website guy tells me that because this Twenty Twenty Four Theme is not regularly updated it will continue to cause problems when our plugins are updated because the new versions are not compatible with the theme. Is there any hope on the horizon to get the developers of this them to fix the bugs that cause these issues when we update wordpress and bluehost? I don't want to start over with a new theme as I have already invested significant time and money into building my website with this theme. Thanks.

Hi @steadfastcontent!

This ticket system is for suggesting enhancements and reporting bugs with WordPress.
To confirm if something is a bug with the theme, contributors needs to test if the bug can be reproduced. To be able to do that, there needs to be enough information and detailed step by step instructions.

Please update the ticket with the following information, and separate the descriptions of each bug.
If the bugs are not listed separately, they are much more difficult to troubleshoot.

Environment info -you can find most of this under tools > Site Health on your WordPress installation.
=== Environment
- OS:
- Web Server:
- PHP:
- WordPress version: Please also include from which WordPress version you updated.
- Browser:
- Theme:
- Active Plugins:
(the plugin names)

=== Steps to Reproduce
1. First step.
2. Second step.
3. 🐞 Bug occurs.

=== Expected Results
Describe the result you expected

=== Does the bug happen with all plugins disabled?

Thank you @poena for asking for more information. I feel this might be a little more your situation and setup over the theme @steadfastcontent. There are also amazing support forums for that particular type of help: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

In light of this expectation, I will add a recommendation to close this until we get more information. We absolutely might and then we can review. Thank you everyone.
