- Keywords has-patch added
Added a top margin to the active navigation link in mobile view to improve visual clarity and spacing between the “WordPress 6.7” header and the “What’s New” link. This adjustment ensures that the active link’s left border doesn’t appear to stick to the header, creating a cleaner and more balanced layout

Thank you @sumitsingh for reporting this. We reviewed this Ticket during a recent accessibility focused bug-scrub. Here's a summary of the points discussed:
- We believe that this Ticket is not focused on accessibility. At least not yet. Hence the focus has been updated.
- We suggest to discuss this with the design team and ask for their assistance with possibly improving the mobile UI and explore the design aspect further.
- Additionally, if you can be more specific with the issue that you are facing then maybe we can move this Ticket forward.
Thanks.
Props to @joedolson
Cheers!

Trac ticket: Core - 62387
This PR fixes the inconsistent spacing in the WordPress 6.8 Welcome screen. Currently, the descriptive text below "Welcome to WordPress 6.8" has inconsistent spacing causing an uneven visual appearance.
### Changes made:
- Removed extra padding to make the spacing consistent
- Improves visual alignment with the rest of the welcome screen content

- Milestone changed from 6.7.1 to 6.7.2
- Severity changed from normal to minor
- Version changed from 6.7 to 6.5
I tseems there are two separate issues being reported here: one on the update screen and one on the About page.
One thing that must be taken into consideration is that once a security or maintenance release has shipped, there is a call out as seen in with-maintenance-callout.png currently for the 6.6 branch.
The pull requests should be tested with this in mind.
This About page design is also not new to 6.7 and was introduced in the 6.5 release.
Because of a few bug reports opened since 6.7 was released, the Core team is evaluating the need for a short 6.7.1 cycle (possibly next week).
To help prepare for this scenario in case it's decided to move forward, I'm going to punt this to the 6.7.2 milestone. Since this issue was not introduced in 6.7, it now falls outside of the focus for 6.7.1 as currently defined.
