Description

Hi. This is a WordPress Core feature request for consideration. As a maintainer of many WordPress websites for clients, I always check "View Details" when updating third party plugins within the WordPress dashboard.

Should we have a "View Details" link when there is a new WordPress update? This way we can view changelog to check if there are security fixes in the release and check other compatibilities, etc.

Hello and welcome to WordPress Core Trac, @catchlight

Thanks for the ticket, however both the dashboard and the upgrade screen already propose a link to the version changelog on HelpHub (example link for 6.7.2). See screenshots below.
