Hi,
When we create a page, data have saved under this url: example.com/page1.
Let we change whole database to new domain: mywebsite.com. Then we need to change all links in the database from example to mywebsite (some times make issue).

The idea is:
Let save domain by /page1. I mean if it save pages after "/", we can easily change domain to another.

Hi @nasermars, welcome to WordPress Trac.

Storing the full domain is a ​specific design decision.

I've closed this ticket with the term wontfix since this isn't a decision that will be revisited though I think this is likely the duplicate of something else that I just can't find right now.
