Description

Hello
Here you are:
-WordPress 6.8 freshly downloaded.

-New blank database

-Installed locally with MAMP.

-Twenty Twenty Five and uninstalled Hello Dolly and Akismet so no extensions installed or active.

-I open Editor, Template/Add Template and create a small template with an image at the top of the page.

-Back to Dashboard/Settings/Reading and there the section for defining whether the home page is a page or articles is missing. View image file

My idea is that whatever the reason for the missing section, this part of the Reading module should always be present and functional, and therefore usable.
That's all there is to it.
Have a nice day!
Pierre

The section is not displayed if there are neither posts nor pages, regardless of the templates. No bug for me.

Oh, okay, thanks for taking a moment to check my concern. Got it.
Have a good day.
