Option "For each article in a feed, show full text" does not work

Description

The option "For each article in a feed, show..." has no effect. You can choose "full text" or "excerpt", but if you choose "full text" you get an excerpt, too. Patch attached.

The description tag should contain the excerpt. content:encoded right below that does contain the full content if the post_content is not empty. Perhaps something is wrong with the global $post variable.
