Emails not sending from Woocommerce since upgrade to wordpres 6.9

I have a number of websites running woocommerce, I ran the update to wordpress 6.9 on a number of them and since the upgrade the emails from woocommerce stop sending and I see this message on my mail log. Could not instantiate mail function.

After comparing to sites that had no problems I found that when I rolled back to version 6.8.3 the emails started working again.
Can you test this please?

Some issues with email are already being tracked in #64368. Could you share any additional details to confirm this?

• Are you seeing any related error messages in your debug log?
• If you're comfortable and able to check your PHP configuration, can you share what the values for sendmail_from and sendmail_path are set to?

I can't find the php file with this info, do you know where it should be?

PHP configuration, can you share what the values for sendmail_from and sendmail_path are set to?
