Description

When I try to change the default font used by buttons in the style editor, the browser screen goes completely blank. Reverting to WordPress ver. 6.8.3 fixes the issue.

I encountered this in a brand new installation of WordPress 6.9 with no plugins installed. The issue occurs in the Twenty Twenty Five theme and a blank theme that I created using the "Create Block Theme" plugin. I'm using Local WP on MacOS, but I also experienced it on my Hostinger website.

Let me know if there is any other information that I can provide.

Hi @kjones75, welcome to WordPress Trac.

I've confirmed this issue on a fresh install of 6.9. As this is related to the site editor, I've opened a ticket in Gutenberg where work on this will be tracked. You can follow that ticket for more information.

Thank you for reporting the ticket, I am closing this as it has been reported upstream.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
