Description

Hi Team,

I am facing an issue in the WordPress backend under Media Library.

There are two display modes available: Grid View and List View.

In Grid View, it is showing 176 images.

In List View, it is showing 3272 images.

The image count is significantly different between the two views, although both should ideally display the same media items from the library.

Because of this mismatch, we are unable to clearly understand the actual number of media files stored in the system.

Could you please check and clarify:

Why the image count differs between Grid and List view?

Whether any filters, pagination, media type restrictions, or backend query differences are affecting the Grid view?

If this is related to user permissions, media status (attached/unattached), or a plugin conflict?

Please investigate and provide clarification on the root cause.

Thanks.

Hello @rithika3, just to confirm — have you tried verifying the image count after disabling all plugins and switching to a default theme.

@niravsherasiya7707 & @adnanhyder I'm facing this issue because the site is multilingual. On a simple site, I am not facing this issue.
