Description
I am experiencing a consistent but inconsistently triggered validation error on WordPress Paragraph blocks in WordPress 6.9.4 with automatic updates enabled.
Brand new WordPress Paragraph blocks are triggering "Block contains unexpected or invalid content" errors under WordPress 6.9.4. The build structure is a container block housing a GenerateBlocks image block with a separate container block directly underneath containing the Paragraph block used as a caption text centered in bold text and this Paragraph block is where the validator error is occurring unevenly applied meaning it’s not rejecting every single container block within the new build area in this years old post I’m re-building.
The critical diagnostic detail: the error fires randomly across newly created blocks only not the original block farther down the page. Every single item is built inside the identical block structure I detailed above. I’m rebuilding this post taking it from one rather GIANT/TALL container block housing the content into a series of multiple container blocks so the underlying page structure is leaner and will render even faster for website visitors. So, there’s the old (original content) below in that older very tall container block and brand new container blocks at the top of the post. Each new container block up above is from scratch nothing is copied from down below. Same block type and build structure, identical formatting, same build process every time — yet the validator accepts some and rejects others inconsistently. A plugin conflict would produce consistent errors. This does not.
Clicking "Attempt Recovery" is destructive — it strips all formatting and content below the first line of my caption. It is not a viable solution and the other two options take me from bad to worse territory so all three in this instance are dead on arrival.
This is not a GeneratePress Premium theme or GenerateBlocks Pro issue. The error is on the WordPress core Paragraph block.
What I’m running building on: WordPress version 6.9.4, GeneratePress Premium theme version 2.5.5, GenerateBlocks Pro version 2.5.0.
