Description

In both the API and the standard editing dashboard, it would be a huge help to users if the <object...> embed code provided by YouTube were automatically converted to Wordpress's [youtube=...] syntax rather than just being stripped out entirely.

Hosted WordPress doesn't stop you from posting <object> tags.
