Memory Usage Create/Edit Post With Large Blog

I have been testing latest rev 8722 with 2 blogs. One is small and everything seems to be working great. The second is a large blog with many posts, cats and tags. It works fine except create/edit post gives memory problems regardless of what I to php for memory. The creation boxes never show up and the error is:

PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 104857600 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 79 bytes) in /home/html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 814
Allowed memory size of 104857600 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 17 bytes)

The rest of the page will load though. Apologizes if this has been discussed previously.

It was due to a massive amount of overhead in wp_postmeta that really didn't need to be there that it died trying to load. The posts number is just over 5,000 posts, but that wasn't the issue as it was the overhead created by a previously deleted plugin which I didn't notice until this SVN version.
