Description

It'd be nice if the Press This bookmarklet had the same edit URL capabilities as the Wordpress administration.

  • Keywords dev-feedback added; press this removed

This would be solved by #14650, if implemented as originally proposed. However, if core decides to do the UI update instead to make it simpler, this is probably a feature not alot of people would use.

Saving as draft in the new Press This (as of 4.2b1) will redirect you to the full editor, where you can make the change quickly, even from a mobile device. It's likely a simpler compromise than bloating the UI with more features in what's supposed to be a lightweight interface.

As @stephdau points out the idea is not to have all bells and wishes in Press This (that would make it the same as the Post New screen), but to be able to go to the Edit Post screen and continue there if needed.
