Schedule should be Publish for instant publications

Description

This may have been discussed elsewhere, which I could have missed, but currently (beta1 9467) both Add New Page and Post are showing "Schedule" rather than Publish in the publish box.

Schedule only makes sense when the setting for the date is changed from Publish Immediately to some future date. If it is Publish Immediately, surely the button should say "Publish"?

  • Version set to 2.7

Edit - this isn't too clear - basically it's not setting the button to "Publish" by default when the page-new.php or post-new.php loads.

  • Milestone changed from 2.8 to 2.7

It'd be more polished if this was fixed before 2.7. The fix must be in the code already I guess because if you cancel the "future publishing date" thing it'll show as Publish.

This seems to have been fixed as part of #8064
