Description
TWO IDEAS
- Add/Remove Modules
- Show/Hide Modules
THE PROBLEM
Even though I know exactly what it does, “Screen Options” does not speak to me. I think a more accurate, more descriptive name would be better.
What do you think?
NOTE
“Modules” may not be as accurate for columns as it is for metaboxes, but, on the other hand, columns are modularized too in 2.7.
If there is agreement that “Screen Options” can be improved, I can submit the patch.

As I see it, “Display Options” has the same problem. Let me try to explain myself better.
Since “Display Options” is a very specific thing:
drop-down panel with check boxes to show/hide parts of the interface
... why describe it with a name that can mean anything and everything, and so nothing?
“Display Options” doesn’t give me an idea of what that thing does:
- Does it change the colour of display? -- 2. Does it offer alternative admin styles? -- 3. Will it allow me to change fonts? -- 4. Will it allow me to change UI language?
That’s why I suggested “Show/Hide Modules”. The drop-down panel does exactly that. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sure, today the panel only includes toggles for screen modules. I can easily imagine that this would be expanded to include any and all options that pertain to the specific admin screen the user is on... in fact, you mentioned a number of possibilities yourself. I expect to see plugin authors expanding the scope of what is included in this panel sooner, rather than later.
-1 from me on changing the wording.
How about "Display Options"?
