Quick Publish of a draft breaks the display

Description

If you view drafts, then quick edit and change a post to published state, and save, the resultant page display is broken, becaus the published article outputs a "comments" field that is not-relevant to drafts.

I guess possible solutions are -

  1. No longer show the published post (not ideal in case further edits are needed)
  2. Show the published post but not the extra comments filed (probably best)
  3. Show the comments field for all the drafts (hmmm.)
