Description

All of the other icons look great, and I for one, voted for this concept of icons, but the Tools one chosen severely clashes with the selected state of the Tools menu.

When Tools is selected, the icon is barely visible. Attached is a screen shot.

Probably just needs to not have transparency in the tools.

I think the contrast between the hammer and the thin parts of the screwdriver makes for really difficult to see icon when the background is a darker shade of gray. I'm unsure how this will be resolved.

Yeah, it's definitely because of the thinness of the icon. I notice the Media icon gets kinda washed out when it's active as well, but it's only the bottom part of the music note.

What if we had another icon for the "active" state? Then the icon designers can create an icon that works on the dark gray background.

Works for me with the new icons. Or I can see it better. I can see it on high resolution, so I'm closing this out.

Well, that applies to the whole new icon set which goes along with the Bold style sheet.

The other icons are the ones that are default, and I think should at least be taken another look.

The problem seems to be contrast levels. On one of my monitors which has 20000:1 contrast, it appears to be fine. On a monitor with 1000:1 contrast it is thin like a wire.

The menu highlight color/gradient would probably be adjusted too.
