#8437 closed defect (bug) (worksforme)

In 2.7,while importing a WXR file which was exported from 2.6.3,I found two bugs.

for every categories in the WXR file,2.7 will create 2 categories in current blog.
the name of all tag imported will become the same with their IDs,just showing a number.

I think the code for import WXR file in 2.7 may have some bugs.

What version of 2.7 are you using? The IDs should have been fixed for #8252.

Exported a 2.6.5 blog, imported into 2.7-almost-rc-9997 and did not experience any problems.

Categories and tags came over as expected with no duplication, tag names were intact.

Same here. Re-open with sample WXR file if problems persists with the latest 2.7 nightly.
