You can try using shorter translations or just abbreviate the current.

nbachiyski is right. The best would be to be a little more creative when translating the menu strings.

In case that there is something impossible to fit in the menu and impossible to translate differently, there is a way to make the menu a little bit wider, but be sensible when using as it would break the layout if the menu is too wide.

The [locale].php file can be used to specify a function that will overwrite the default menu width. An example is attached here.
