a.button class should have same formatting as button class

Description

Looks like for some reason

.button-primary
.button-secondary
.button-highlighted

have different formatting than

a.button-primary
a.button-secondary
a.button-highlighted

In the case of Akismet, the "Check for Spam" button is inconsistent in size than the rest of the comment buttons.

Have you tested this in all major browsers on all major OS? Seems to break a.button for Safari and Chrome (makes it square).

I haven't been able to duplicate the button becoming square/breaking in Safari or Chrome.

I have tested:

Firefox 3 WinXP
Firefox 3 Linux
Firefox 3 Mac

Safari WinXP
Safari Mac

Chrome WinXP

I have noticed that in Chrome the a.button now looks a bit smaller than the others. But in Safari WinXP and Firefox it is the same size as the rest of the buttons. On Safari Mac the a.button is slightly larger. In IE, of course the border radius doesn't work, but the button is still slightly larger.

Damn, do I hate CSS inconsistencies across browsers and even worse when the browser behaves differently on a different OS!

This is why I usually don't submit CSS patches.

I think we're already as close as we're going to get on this. Sigh.
