On the "Edit Post" page (wp-admin/edit.php), when posts are scheduled to be published, the only information that you get is the days and hours til it's published: you do not get the date.

Many WP users schedule their posts weeks, maybe months, in advance. A blogger needs to see the actual date that the post is going to publish in order to schedule accordingly on the "new post" page. You don't get an option on the "new posts" page to publish XX days from now, you have to choose a date. Therefore you should see a date on scheduled posts.

The exact date it will be published on (Or was published on, in the case of allready published posts) is available in the title text for the text. If you hover your mouse over it, You'll be able to see it either in a tooltip or in the browsers status bar.

(Oh, You only get the "Published 9 hours ago" if its been recently published, else it shows the date it was published on, I can see how that could cause some confusion)

For bloggers that publish a good deal of posts, that can be quite a hassle and also counter-intuitive. I would have never figured that out.

These dates should be available at a glance and to have to hover over each post (sometimes I have twenty in my queue) is not a good way to go. I'm sure that other blogger feel the same way. I'm "all for" cleaning up the interface, but can we please pick this feature out of the trash and put it back?

  • Type changed from defect (bug) to enhancement

I think more people would prefer the date/time to be explicit rather than on hover. I've heard this complaint from a lot of users
