In the wp.org forum, you cannot change your email when you edit your profile's details. Is there any reason for this?

I suspect it's ​this bbPress bug that was recently fixed. Probably haven't updated bbPress on wp.org yet.

any odds the wp.org forums will get updated at some point? it seems a bbpress security fix was released recently...
