Description
The Dashboard rss feeds and any widgets that should and used to display things like de.licio.us bookmarks and flickr photos have stopped working 99.9% of the time. A peak at generated source code reveals nothing is generated and no error appears in any log or the source page.

Mother! I'll have the patch tomorrow. Go to the support forums. Unless the gzip patch fixes your problem.

I've been to the support forum. I know other people have the same issue with the Dashboard RSS feed. I've posted about both but no one has replied with a fix.
I don't know what to do with the patch.txt file in 8825 -- how do I insert it?
TIA!

No error messages are shown for 8825, feed just fails to load.
Also, try adding define('MAGPIE_FETCH_TIME_OUT', 20); to your config file, its a game of guessing unless you can tell us what is wrong :)

This sounds like #8825: gzip'ed RSS feeds are not gzinflate()'d
