Description

At wp-admin/install.php?step=2 we see

Password
Note that password carefully! It is a random password that was generated just for you.

So the user panics and writes it down on paper etc.

You forgot to mention
"or just look in your mailbox! We just sent it to you too."

I don't believe that it gets mailed if you don't have mail setup on your server.. I've never gotten the eMail with my password.

Password doesn't always get mailed if email is not setup on the server or the server configuration doesn't allow WordPress to send the emails.

We don't need to over complicate the display here.

Well then perhaps say there

"<small>Your password will also be mailed to you, unless email is not setup
on the server or the server configuration doesn't allow WordPress to
send the emails.</small>"

Or just

"Your password will also be mailed to you if current configuration
allows."

Otherwise the feeling is

"There you are telling me to go get a pencil and paper to copy down
the %@$#!*& password, when all along you already mailed it to me. The
left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing!"

except you only need that password once, you can copy-paste it to the login form if required.

Sending it in an email is only a backup incase you forget it. As soon as you login (Actually i think the login button does it automatically..?) you should be changing the password anyway.

Yes the moment we see it, with all its $%*@#, we know we will only be
using it once.

But you tell us to "Note that password carefully!"

So we better go get a pencil and paper and copy it down, because you
never know, it might just disappear when we try to use our mouse on
it... you never know.

But all along there it also is sitting in our mailbox.

But you didn't tell me.

Because you didn't know either.

So who sent it then?

The uncoordinated crew.

What if I called you and told you to copy down some mishmosh. But at
the same time I sent it to you.

You would say "why didn't you tell me?" All the other programs I know
tell me, but not you!

At least tell me you "might have".
