Agreed, but put it this way:

Post => Add New
Page => Add New
Plugins => Add New
Appearence => Add New

Wait, What? Add new Appearance? Is that a Theme, or is for Widgets? etc.

Then again, Many themes come with a widget or 2 included.. so..

Theres the reasoning for it in my mind.. but i'm perfectly happy with just 'Add New' I've looked at it everytime i've gone near there and thought "hmmmm"

@dev: please close as wontfix if there was a good reason for not using that caption

The current thinking is as DD32 explains, but that might change as we haggle over UI during the upcoming beta period. Leaving open for now.

  • Resolution set to wontfix
  • Status changed from new to closed

Add New isn't specific enough b/c appearance has more than one object type in it, but if we fiddle with nav categories in next cycle it might make sense. Would punt to consider in next release, but since will only change if nav scheme changes, am closing to wontfix, since it would be part of bigger change.
