Description

on a theme with multiple sidebars, you need to re-open the needed sidebars when leaving the widgets screen.

it should ideally remember which sidebars were open last time you visited the page.

This works well for pages that are visited often but becomes confusing when the user would visit a page only several times per year. Better to go to default view there.

Your once per year visited page is others' several times per day visited page...

I've a plugin in particular, that adds a special sidebar which allows to configure widgets that can then be inserted into posts and pages. When it's around, the widgets screen is frequently used.

I don't mind enforcing the state through a plugin, but a 3-liner of pointers could definitely be useful -- this area of WP isn't the best documented.
