Cannot edit posts from wp-admin

Description

When I click on "Posts" or "Edit" under "Post" in the wp-admin, instead of taking me to the list of posts, I always get redirected to the main page of the blog. The "Add New Post" is however working. Browsers I have tested on - Firefox and Google Chrome

any chances your server is using mod_security or suhosin?
