Content disappearing in editor

Description

When using the post editor (under pages->add new in my situation ) and entering an iframe into the html tab of the editor such as ​http://pastebin.com/H4zhNi1t and clicking save. this saves it but if you switch between views again, it's blank. if you navigate away from the page and come back to it, it's back. but only until you switch between views again.

The TinyMCE Version in 3.1.* doesn't support iframes. In 3.2 we have a new version, which should support it.

Yes, as @ocean90 mentioned above the new version of TinyMCE currently in trunk (that will become WordPress 3.2) supports iframes.
