Description

I tried to change the URL of my site from www.mybeautifulchandelier.org/wordpress to www.mybeautifulchandelier.org because that is the correct name.

I did this in the dashboard general settings then I was automatically logged out and unable to log back in. I received this message when I tried:
Error Summary
HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found
The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
Detailed Error Information
Module IIS Web Core
Notification MapRequestHandler
Handler PHP5-ISAPI-php
Error Code 0x80070002
Requested URL http://mybeautifulchandelier.org:80/wp-login.php
Physical Path D:\inetpub\vhosts\mybeautifulchandelier.org\httpdocs\wp-login.php
Logon Method Anonymous
Logon User Anonymous

I then followed the steps to change the URL in the php files (both those to change the URL and those for if I'd changed my URL before other setting, using filezilla, but it has made no difference.

I installed the debugging file, but that has made no difference either.

Parts of the site appear when I enter the URL, but most of it is missing and the links don't work.

I would like to change my domain name to www.mybeautifulchandelier.org (that is the domain I bought through 5quidhost and I don't know why wordpress has added its name to the URL) and to correct the errors that caused me to be locked out of my dashboard.

Thanks for taking the time,

Kate

Sorry, I mean't to link to this article: http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

It sounds like you've done the first few steps of that, just follow through with the file movement parts.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
