Description

Gears is gone for good, unfortunately. No need for these files any more. Something similar could be used to output an HTML 5.0 offline storage list one day if we decide to go there.

I've done a plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/local-storage-back-up/ as part of last year's GSOC to backup user drafts and saved posts in localStorage. It's a start, though not complete, but I'm willing to help extend & integrate it if considered useful.
