Move to trash link

Description

Hello WP folks!

I have this feature request and I dont know if this already came up and was rejected for reasons.

The problem with the "move to trash"-link is that there is no confirmation - "Do you really want this?". It happened to me and to my colleagues after couple our of work at a page and then inadvertently click the "move to trash"-link and the work was away. This might happen because Javascript loads DIV's etc. Sure you can restore it but sometimes you don't even know that you just deleted the page and recognize it after someone tells you that the page isn't there anymore.

Hope there is a good solution for this.

Cheers,
Silver.

Hi @silverstar23 and thanks for the ticket!

This was discussed during a triage session today.

Issues for the block-editor are tracked on GitHub and this has been previously reported there, you can see the issue at https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/19125

As this has been reported already, I will close this as reported-upstream. This will help keep discussion in a single location.

A similar issue occurs for the classic editor but WordPress is no longer making enhancements to the classic editor I am sorry.
