Description
On my server, media uploader can create the month folder with chmod = 777 but it fails to copy the uploaded file from tmp to that folder.
If I create the month folder through ftp or ssh, media uploader works well then.

I did not use previous version on that server.
WP succeeded in creating the folder, but somehow it failed copying file from tmp to that folder, if I use FTP to create the folder month, then everything is ok

- Severity changed from major to normal
- Status changed from new to closed
Doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
Closing as worksforme for now. Re-open with server details, etc. if this problem still exists in 2.7.

Did it work in a previous version of WordPress?
If the security settings on the Webhost do not allow creation of folders with the required settings, then WordPress is out of luck.
