Reported by: tassoman's profile tassoman Owned by:
Milestone: 2.1 Priority: high
Severity: major Version: 2.1
Component: General Keywords: category, posts

Description

The function get_the_category() in the loops, returns no categories.

More, is broken also $cat->category_nicename, and "no category" appears also in the wp-admin/edit.php list.

If I open posts, theire category is correctly set. More, in the sidebar's wp_list_cats() counts are ok.

This, while I've updated to revision 4522.

Er, whoops, hit submit without meaning to.

Anyway, gonna reopen until it's actually confirmed it's fixed. [4532] is just a version bump.

Re-marking as CLOSED fixed as original submitter marked it closed and no one else has said here they are still experiencing this issue. Please reopen with additional details if anyone is still experiencing this problem.

Hi Tassoman,

Are you saying that you upgraded to r4532 and are no longer seeing the issue? As Viper points out that is different than saying it is resolved *in* that revision.

And thank you for the great contribution to WordPress!

Oh crap, I didn't notice that the person who closed it was the one that opened it. My bad.

Sorry guys I was in a hurry. I wanted to say, one day after, when I upgraded at 4532 the problem vanished. I hope it's solved.
