Description
We need to decide what, if anything, deserves a feature pointer in 4.5. As this includes strings, we need to get those in before string freeze.

I honestly don't think anything needs a pointer this release. A lot of the features this cycle are small enhancements, but nothing that needs to necessarily be pointed out.

Thanks for opening this for consideration, @jorbin!
Not a big fan of pointers, and as it's not common for us to add them in the Customizer (where this release's most "pointer-worthy" features live), going to concur with @melchoyce -- think it makes sense to pass on them.
