Description

hey,
i'm currently working on http://garigal.com.au/ and i have found when i'm on the home page, when i click edit in the admin bar, it takes me to http://garigal.com.au/wp-admin/post.php?post=-99&action=edit.
the page has a post ID=2 and its trying to send me to post ID=-99

since -99 does not exist the message that comes up is "You attempted to edit an item that doesn’t exist. Perhaps it was deleted?"

Hi @haybailes,

Welcome to WordPress Trac.

WordPress doesn't use negative IDs anywhere itself AFAIK, so shouldn't be generating such a link intentionally - but many Page Builders and layout plugins do use negative IDs as their pages.

Are you using any similar plugins? (Or perhaps used one in the past?)
Does the problem persist if you edit the homepage (page id 2) and re-save it in the backend?
