For reference, just noting that this applies to the WordPress Importer plugin and not to WordPress core (the plugin is still supported here on Core Trac, though).

Worth noting that there is also a GitHub repository: ​https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-importer/, so maybe support could move there in the future. Per the ​core handbook, Trac is still the official place at the moment.
