@costdev this is a valid plugins issue this time I guess 😉 Simply a minor bug/glitch to fix.

  • Component changed from Plugins to Upgrade/Install
  • Milestone Awaiting Review deleted
  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

Unfortunately must use plugins are not updatable. Therefore this is intended behavior. Plugins outside of the standard plugin directory are not updatable in core.

  • Keywords needs-patch added
  • Milestone set to 6.2
  • Resolution invalid deleted
  • Status changed from closed to reopened

Thanks for pointing this out!

Regardless auto-updates are available or not for mu-plugins, we should indeed add these filters to this screen, for better consistency across Plugins Screens.

Moving for 6.2 consideration.
Patch welcome :)

Mu-plugins cannot be activated or deactivated, but the related filters are still showed on this screen, for consistency across Plugins screens :)

Exactly that. This is simply a navigation consistency glitch which should be fixed independently what MU-Plugins themselves allow or now. It is valid to navigate from any tab to any other tab within the Plugins screen of WordPress. Hence please fix.

@abitofmind would you like to propose a patch to improve the current implementation?

Thanks but no. Am no coder. UX Designer (and a bit of QA/Tester) by profession.

But wanted to properly report and argue the inconsistency at least.

Hope this gets fixed, but if not, it's a minor glitch one can leave with.
