Plugin search error - No results are shown despite their existence

Description

When clicking on 'Support' and attempting to perform a search for specific plugins, no results are being shown despite their existence.

In this case, a search for 'analytics' should return at least 1 result.

The search functionality just crashes when switching to tab "All results".

More context on this matter:

  • The search 'intext:"Visitor Analytics IO – Privacy-First Website Stats, Session Recordings, Heatmaps, Polls and Surveys"' works while the search 'intext:"Plugin: Visitor Analytics IO – Privacy-First Website Stats, Session Recordings, Heatmaps, Polls and Surveys"' crashes.

LE:
It seems this happens because of the fact that Google last cached this page on June 11 and since there the name of the plugin was updated.

Does anybody know if there is any way to re-crawl the page? Thanks.

Welcome to Trac, @visitoranalytics, and thank you for the report!

This looks a lot like an issue reported in Meta Trac, https://meta.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/6679. It was marked as resolved, but doesn't mention the indexing/crawl lag for new topics -- I agree this behavior is unexpected.

I encourage you to review (and comment in) the above-mentioned Meta Trac ticket -- perhaps it should be reopened for improvement.

As this issue pertains to the plugin directory forums, and not Core, I'll close this ticket here.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
