Description
It would be great if the filter results remained unchanged until a new filter is applied.
For example, if I’m working in a specific category and I’m going back and forth on the site, I have to reset the filter each time to that category. It would be nice if the filter remained unchanged until a new filter is applied.
Thanks!

I'm guessing my ticket wasn't clear :)
Did the filter results remain if you leave then go back to that category?
Using WooCommerce products as an example, consider a scenario where I have a category for Men's and Women's tops, and I am focused on updating the items in the Women's category. If I apply a filter for Women's > Tops, the system will display all the tops within that category. However, upon leaving the page and returning, I would prefer to see the filtered results for Women's > Tops rather than a complete list of all products.
Hope this is clearer.

@MyWorldz Hello and welcome to trac.
If I understand correctly, you are referring to the product filters documented on WooCommerce's site.
As these filters aren't provided by WordPress, you will need to log an issue on the WooCommerce issue tracker requesting persistence as the site is navigated.
WordPress doesn't include any way to filter categories in the manner you describe, I'm going to close this issue as invalid. In this case, that's trac's unfriendly term to indicate that I've referred you to the WooCommerce issue tracker.

This scenario can also be applied to WordPress filters such as the categories, etc... so we don't have to resent the filter every time we navigate somewhere else.
And no, I am not referring to the WooCommerce document that you linked to, I'm referring to the filter in the backend dashboard but I will log the issue as you instructed.
Thanks!
Hey @MyWorldz,
I have just taken a look at this, and using the category pages this appears to work fine, and on these pages the posts are filtered correctly to only show posts from that category. I wonder if there is something different about your set up that could be affecting this? Are you able to install the following Test Reports plugin, and generate a bug report so we can see if there is issue is related to a plugin / theme on the site? This will give us a much better understanding of what is going on here, and then the community and myself can assist you much better here. 😃
