Please help! There is no linking. The popup to add the link does not work for me.

My site is alushlifemanaul.com.

Hey, I tried reproducing this on a fresh WP 7.0 install but couldn't. A few questions to help narrow it down:

Is it Block Editor or Classic Editor?
Does the pop-up not open at all, or does it open but not save?
Are you typing the URL with https://, or just pasting something like example.com?

A screenshot or quick screencast (Loom is handy for this) would go a long way.

Also, could you try the same steps on https://playground.wordpress.net/? It's a clean WP 7.0 environment in your browser, no setup needed. If it works there, the issue is likely a plugin or theme conflict on your site rather than a core bug.
