Description
Bitstream Vera Sans is not an uncommon font in Windows. According to this:
http://www.codestyle.org/css/font-family/sampler-WindowsResultsFull.shtml
... it is found in 25% of Windows systems.
So, in those systems, instead of the ideal and recently introduced Verdana, Bitstream Vera Sans will be used now, which is nowhere near Verdana as a web font.
I happened to notice this on three different Windows computers in the last couple of days. (I don’t know which program or programs install Bitstream Vera in Windows. Probably OpenOffice is one -- it was common in all three installations.)
