On my Window7 PC using Firefox in Wordpress 3.6 on my webpage http://jessejamesphotoalbum.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1671&action=edit

I click on ADD MEDIA, from my computer, select an image file, click the file, begins to upload and freezes at 71%. I removed some images from the library to make more space, didn't help.
Also tried the ADD MEDIA in Dashboard and drag & drop, all attempts freeze. Unable to upload any media or save media.

Archaeo,

What version of Firefox and can you reproduce on a fresh install with no plugins using one of the default themes? FYI version number is not current version it is the first version the bug or issue was introduced in.

The uploader gets to about 71% and stops there.

That sounds like an out of memory error.

  1. Does it happen with all images, or just large ones?
  2. Could you increase the PHP memory_limit value and see if that fixes it?

Please try the support forums for further troubleshooting: http://wordpress.org/support/.
