Description
After updating my blog, synapse9.com/signals, to 4.2.2, using Theme: iFeature 5Pro v5.5.4, I found that inserting the <!--more--> line after any paragraph only resulted in it being placed at the end of the post, and not taking effect.
It always worked before, and I have not had any functionality problems with Wordpress before.
Nothing I tried, like cutting and pasting it from where it went to where it was supposed to be, or updating the theme, etc., had any effect.
My desktop PC is running Windows 7 on a 3 year old HP tower... which does have keyboard irregularities sometimes like not matching some functions for Photoshop's text tool, but otherwise no problems at all.

Howdy!
Thanks for the bug report. I could not duplicate this using the default theme, so it may be a theme or plugin conflict with something else installed on your site.
I'm going to mark this as invalid since I couldn't duplicate it, but please do try to duplicate either after switching themes or disabling all other plugins. If it works when using a different theme, please reach out to your theme's developer.

Cheers!
