Rich Excel or Table Formatting Error on WP4.4.1

Hi

Error on pasting Excel table to the visual editor after updating to 4.4.1 Clifford from 4.1. It strips and remove the format and borders. ​https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-excel-tablet-format-not-working?replies=2

I already submitted this to the support forum and search for the solution but havent found a concrete solution yet.

Our theme provider also tested it with the default WP theme and got the same problem. They said it is because of the WordPress editor and not the theme provider.

I really hope you would guys check this and fix if found true.

I'm seeing the same thing. Making note and asking to reopen #27909.

In the mean time, I've found luck going through Google Sheets or using Firefox (haven't tested IE) instead of Chrome.

Could you test again in 4.5-beta2 if possible? The "paste" plugin was updated there.

If still not working please include some more info:

• What version of Excel do you have?
• Was the spreadsheet a new document created in your version of Excel? If not, could you create new document, then copy the whole spreadsheet and paste it there, then save and close. Then open the new file and try copying from it and pasting in the WordPress editor.

Great. Looks like it's working as expected in 4.5-beta2.
